Baby Steps Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all sessions (appointments, events, courses, workshops) given by Baby Steps (https://www.baby-steps.co.uk).  By booking with Baby Steps online, text, telephone or by email together with payment, you accept these terms and conditions.  We reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify, add, or remove any or all of these terms and conditions at any time and each such change shall be effective immediately upon posting.

 

Payment

Online payment is required before the course date to secure your place/s via the payment details given to you.

 

Cancellation, Re-scheduling & Refund Policy

We understand that life with a baby doesn't always go to plan. Our cancellation and re-scheduling policy is designed to be fair while allowing us to plan and prepare for each course, session and event.

1. In-Person Courses, Workshops & Events

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled session will receive a full refund.

• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session may not be eligible for a refund. Where possible, we will do our best to offer an alternative date or transfer your booking to another available session.

• If you are unable to attend a session due to illness or an unexpected circumstance, please contact us as soon as possible. We will always try to help where we can.

• Re-scheduling is available, subject to availability. Please contact us at least 24 hours before the session or event to arrange this.

• For multi-session courses, missed individual sessions cannot usually be refunded or transferred, but please contact us if you are unable to attend and we will do our best to support you.

 

2. Group Bookings

• For private group bookings, cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled session will receive a full refund.

• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the session may not be eligible for a refund or may be subject to a cancellation fee.

• If you need to change the date of your group booking, please contact us as soon as possible. We will always try to accommodate a new date, subject to availability.

 

3. Online Courses

• Due to the digital nature of online courses, purchases cannot normally be refunded once access to the course content has been provided or the course has been accessed.

• If you have purchased an online course but have not yet accessed the course content, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss whether a refund may be possible.

• If you experience any technical difficulties accessing your course, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

 

4. If Baby Steps Needs to Cancel

On the rare occasion that we need to cancel or re-schedule a course, session or event, we will contact you as soon as possible. We will offer you the choice of:

• Transferring your booking to an alternative date; or

• Receiving a full refund.

 

A Little Note from Baby Steps

We know that plans can change, especially when you have a little one. If something unexpected happens, please get in touch. While we can't always guarantee a refund or re-scheduling, we'll always do our best to find a solution that works for you where we can.

 

Property

You are responsible for all your personal belongings during Baby Steps courses.  If parking in the on-site car park at Baby Steps, you do so at your own risk and Baby Steps accepts no responsibilities for any loss or damages.

Photography

From time to time we will take photographs and videos for marketing purposes.  Permission to take photos or video of you and /or your baby will be sought at the time.  We also kindly as you do not take any photographs including others without their permission and not to post on social media. 

 

Course Materials and Copyright

The cost of the session includes all materials supplied during the session.  Baby Steps is the copyright owner of all course materials with the exception of materials clearly published by third parties.  Baby Steps copyright materials may only be used by the person attending the course for their personal use.

 

Liability

All training and advice given by Baby Steps is done by following guidelines provided by the appropriate councils. Information given by Baby Steps is to the best of our knowledge, up to date and evidence based.  Baby Steps cannot accept any responsibility for misinterpretation of the advice given.  Baby Steps always advises if parents or carers are at all concerned about the health of their child they should seek medical advice.  The information provided, either at the courses, on this website or any documentation provided is for general information only and should not be treated as a substitute for medical advice given by a doctor or any other health professional.  Baby-Steps is not responsible or liable for any diagnosis made or actions taken by a user based on this information.

 

Confidentiality and Safeguarding

Baby Steps, in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct (2015) will strictly maintain confidentiality. However, if a parent or carer disclosed information which caused ‘Child Protection/ Safeguarding’ concerns for the chlld or parent or carer, it would be necessary, with the knowledge of the person disclosing to act appropriately.

 

Privacy Policy and Data Protection

This privacy policy sets out how Baby Steps uses and protects any information that you give Baby Steps.

 

Baby Steps is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will not be passed onto any other party - see our Privacy Policy.

 

What Information We Collect

We may collect the following information: name, contact information including email address demographic information such as postcode.

 

What We Do with the Information We Gather

We require this information to be able to contact you, send agreed information required for the courses and events onto which you have booked, understand your needs and provide you with a better service.

 

Newsletter

You can unsubscribe any time using the link at the bottom of any email newsletter.  You will only be relevant, useful and interesting information related to Baby Steps and no one else.  Your details will not be shared with any other third party.

 

Controlling your Personal Information

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law.

 

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible.  We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

 

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How we use cookies

Sustainability Statement

Sustainability is at the core of our business and we are very aware of the environment we live and operate within. We continually review our impact on the environment at large and look for ways to reduce the impact that Baby Steps has on the environment. Where possible we use recyclable materials and endeavor to make sure that the paper and card used for marketing literature comes from renewable sources. We also embrace new technology and concentrate as much of our marketing activities as possible through digital channels, such as the Internet and Email.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
