Baby Steps Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all sessions given by Baby Steps.  By booking with Baby Steps on the telephone or by email together with payment, you accept these terms and conditions.  We reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify, add, or remove any or all of these terms and conditions at any time and each such change shall be effective immediately upon posting.

 

Payment

Online payment is required before the course date to secure your place/s via the payment details given to you.

 

Refund Policy

In very rare cases, it may be necessary for us to cancel courses and you will be contacted personally about this and offered an alternative date or refund.

 

In the incidence that you are unable to attend, Baby Steps is not obliged to refund your place/s however with enough notice, we will endeavour to reschedule your place on a future date if this is possible.

 

Property

You are responsible for all your personal belongings during Baby Steps courses.  If parking in the on-site car park at Baby Steps, you do so at your own risk and Baby Steps accepts no responsibilities for any loss or damages.

Photography

From time to time we will take photographs and videos for marketing purposes.  Permission to take photos or video of you and /or your baby will be sought at the time.  We also kindly as you do not take any photographs including others without their permission and no to post on social media. 

 

Course Materials and Copyright

The cost of the session includes all materials supplied during the session.  Baby-steps is the copyright owner of all course materials with the exception of materials clearly published by third parties.  Baby-steps copyright materials may only be used by the person attending the course for their personal use.

 

Liability

All training and advice given by Baby Steps is done by following guidelines provided by the appropriate councils. Information given by Baby Steps is to the best of our knowledge, up to date and evidence based.  Baby Steps cannot accept any responsibility for misinterpretation of the advice given.  Baby Steps always advises if parents or carers are at all concerned about the health of their child they should seek medical advice.  The information provided, either at the courses, on this website or any documentation provided is for general information only and should not be treated as a substitute for medical advice given by a doctor or any other health professional.  Baby-Steps is not responsible or liable for any diagnosis made or actions taken by a user based on this information.

 

Confidentiality and Safeguarding

Baby Steps, in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct (2015) will strictly maintain confidentiality. However, if a parent or carer disclosed information which caused ‘Child Protection’ concerns, it would be necessary, with the knowledge of the person disclosing to act appropriately.

 

Privacy Policy and Data Protection

This privacy policy sets out how Baby Steps uses and protects any information that you give Baby Steps.

 

Baby Steps is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will not be passed onto any other party - see our Privacy Policy

 

What Information We Collect

We may collect the following information: name, contact information including email address demographic information such as postcode.

 

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to be able to contact you, send agreed information required for the courses and events onto which you have booked, understand your needs and provide you with a better service.

 

Newsletter

You can unsubscribe any time using the link at the bottom of any email newsletter.  You will only be relevant, useful and interesting information related to Baby Steps and no one else.  Your details will not be shared with any other third party.

 

Controlling your personal information

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law.

 

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible.  We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

 

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Your Data Rights

We recognise your data rights including:

How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file, which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. Sustainability Statement

Sustainability is at the core of our business and we are very aware of the environment we live and operate within. We continually review our impact on the environment at large and look for ways to reduce the impact that Baby Steps has on the environment. Where possible we use recyclable materials and endeavor to make sure that the paper and card used for marketing literature comes from renewable sources. We also embrace new technology and concentrate as much of our marketing activities as possible through digital channels, such as the Internet and Email.
