How will this course help you?

circle of support with Katherine at Baby-Steps studio Hampshire. Nestled in the woods. Tea, cake and company.
Join Katherine at Baby-Steps studio for parental support. Looking after yourself, sleep and settling baby, practical advice, play and communication, relax and pamper.
  • In my work with new parents in the NHS and Baby Steps,  I know how stretched services are.  Professionally and as a Mummy of two myself I know how vital this support is.  Gone are the days of weekly visits from the Health Visitor or even a weekly Baby Clinic.

  • So I have created this 5 week course to give a ‘Circle of Support’ in the calm cocoon of the Studio.  The Mama and Baby Wellbeing course will give you the chance, in a small group to be reassured each week with professional advice, have a cosy cuppa and treats in gorgeous surroundings with your baby.

  • You will arrive at the Baby Steps Studio nestled in the woods with easy parking in a beautiful, calming spot.  You can settle into your own nest of a chair, mat, blanket and cushions.  After our warm hellos you will have the chance to catch your breath with some gorgeous relaxation exercises.

  • This will be followed by a different activity for your baby and then a topic each week drawing on my 27 years experience caring for families as a Paediatric Nurse, Health Visitor, Infant Massage Instructor & as a Mummy.

  • I liaise with a range of health professionals to bring you this holistic course which will give you invaluable confidence, advice and reassurance and a network of professional including a reflexologist, acupuncturist, perinatal psychologist, pelvic floor, physiotherapist, nutritionist, whose advice you will receive in person or via Katherine and this will create a network of professionals you can refer to.

Topics we will cover include:

  • Looking after yourself: Including a beautiful facial reflexology session, chats around postnatal recovery & tips around Nutrition

  • Mummy MOT - physio & pelvic floor.

  • Adjusting to role as new parent

  • Play and Communication & developmental milestones with your baby right from the early days

  • Sleep and Settling: for you and your baby!

  • Lastly in our small group we will share supportive chat giving you the opportunity to listen or share with other parents.  This will be such a special part of your week for you and your baby.

  • Suitable from birth to crawling.  You will get a goody bag with keepsakes & treats.

I am here to support you and your baby in your first steps together
