My Story

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to look after babies.  I was always babysitting for local families & had a nanny job in my gap year.  In 1995 my dream came true when I trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital as a Paediatric Nurse.

On qualifying, I worked at Great Ormond Street before moving to Paediatric Accident & Emergency at a London hospital where I continue to work.  I have had various Paediatric Nursing roles in London hospitals.

20 years ago I became a Registered Health Visitor and have worked in the community & hospital.  I have been in the NHS nearly 30 years!

I trained to be a Certified Infant Massage Instructor in 2006.  I was completely blown away by the benefits for parents and babies and the lifelong bonding and memories it gives.  The classes have been such a special part of my work supporting parents ever since and I was lucky enough to massage my two babies.

Back in 2006, while working as a Paediatric Nurse and Health Visitor in London, I recognised the need for a relaxed and friendly service to address common parental concerns.  Baby Steps was born.

When I look after a child I am always looking after their family too.  ‘Happy parent, happy baby’ is so true.  It is an incredible privilege to share in families challenging times.  My mission remains the same 'To give reassurance and confidence to parents and babies everyday'.

I feel I have the best job in the world.

I am Mummy to Isabella and William, which makes everyday magic....and full on!   I’ve been there……Being a parent myself gives a personal but very real touch to my work as I understand the emotions, struggles and practical juggles.

After running Baby Steps in London for 13 years, we moved to Hampshire.  Here I have a beautiful studio in the woods which offers a calm cocoon for new parents and babies.  Online courses and events mean I can help even more families too.

Whether it's here at the Studio, in your home or online, I can not wait to support you and your little one,
